As a safety professional I take safety seriously…. I would like to say that I chose my career because of that but the truth is it chose me. Everyday I wake up and go to work with the hopes that I can save a life….. Not due to the rules we make, enforce, the procedures, or the technology we use to monitor employees, but by having real conversations and engaging the field workforce to become involved in the safety program. Changing and bettering the culture of the company, not just the safety culture but the culture as a whole….. I choose to work safely because I love my life and I wouldn’t ever want to jeopardize my life or my co-workers lives…… To those who have been injured or killed at work my heart breaks for you, your families, and co-workers…. It should never happen… Lets all do our part to make our jobs and places of employment safer….
